What is a VIP Online Security Card?

A VIP Online Security Card is a small electronic device that generates a one time password, entered when you log into internet banking.

What is a one time password?

A one time password is a 6-digit number generated by pressing the grey button on you VIP Online Security Card. A different password will be generated by your card each time you log into internet banking.

Who can request a VIP Online Security Card?

All members who are registered for internet banking and perform value transactions are able to request a VIP Online Security Card. A values transaction is a transaction whereby funds are transferred to accounts at other financial institutions and also includes Bpay.

Will a VIP Online Security Card work on my computer?

Yes. A VIP Online Security Card works with any operating system and will not require any additional equipment or software.

Do I have to use a VIP Online Security Card?

A VIP Online Security Card is compulsory for members who perform values transactions. A value transaction is a transaction whereby funds are transferred and includes Bpay.

How do I request and activate a VIP Online Security Card?

A VIP Online Security Card can be requested via the website. Go to the forms menu, and then select VIP Online Security Card Application.

Do I have to use my VIP Online Security Card every time I log into internet banking?

Yes. After activation your VIP Online Security Card and one time password will be required every time you log into internet banking.

What if I enter an incorrect one time password?

Wait until the cards screen is blank (approximately 30 seconds), then press the grey button again to generate a new one time password.

How much does a VIP Online Security Card cost?

What should I do if my VIP Online Security Card is lost or stolen?

You can rest assured that it is of no use to anyone unless they also have your Login and Access Code. You should never disclose your login details to anyone; store them on your computer or with your VIP Online Security Card. If you lose your VIP Online Security Card you won’t be able to access internet banking until you contact FCCS Credit Union to organise alternate arrangements.

What if I need a replacement VIP Online Security Card?

Contact FCCS Credit Union. Your card will need to be cancelled before you can order a replacement card online.

How many times can I enter a one time password incorrectly before I am locked out of internet banking?

After 3 unsuccessful attempts you will be locked out of internet banking. You will then need to log back in and try again.

Can I use my VIP Online Security Card anywhere?

Your VIP Online Security Card can be used wherever you log into internet banking. This includes overseas and in remote areas.

Can I use the same VIP Online Security Card for more than one internet banking login number?

No. A VIP Online Security Card can only be used with one internet banking login number.
