FCCS exists to provide a "Better Financial Alternative" through an up-to-date range of competitive products and services professionally delivered to all our members.
As a member you can access your funds via ATMs and EFTPOS terminals using your Redicard. Combine your Redicard and cheque book and your funds are as close as your wallet or handbag. You also have access to all your account details 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via our Internet Banking and our Phone Banking products.
FCCS also offers members a variety of loans - home and investment loans, car loans, personal loans and overdraft loans. All loans are subject to normal lending criteria.
Each person joining the Credit Union is required to purchase a share at $10. A receipt will be issued to record the purchase of your share. Your share is fully refundable should you close your membership with the Credit Union. Credit Unions and all other financial institutions must apply procedures to prove your identity when you:
- open a new savings, investment or loan account; or
- become a signatory to an account
On these occasions, FCCS will need to complete a check of your identity. This procedure will occur once only and will involve:
- sighting an original document used to verify members’ full name, date of birth and residential address; or
- if you are unable to come into the office in person you may have your identity verified by sending to FCCS a copy of the document (or combination of documents) that have been certified as a true copy.

These procedures are part of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), which is designed to help prevent people from using the financial system for tax evasion, money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
